Hoops Must Act - And Attempt To Bring Bhoy Back To Parkhead
Former Celt, Stuart Armstrong is reportedly looking to go out on loan from Southampton.

Former Celt, Stuart Armstrong is reportedly looking to go out on loan from Southampton.

The Sun reported that Stuart Armstrong may look to leave the Saints if he is not going to be a starter this season. He played just 22 minutes against Liverpool on Saturday, and didn’t even appear on the bench against Burnley on the opening day.

If Southampton does let Stuart Armstrong go out on loan it would be surprise considering that he enjoyed a great first season at the Saints.

And If it does happen Celtic would be landing a Premier League player on loan and Armstrong would be able to get the game time which he wants. But that is if the Saints are open to a loan to Celtic, a deal which Celtic can’t let pass by.

But if he is available, then the Hoops must act and attempt to bring him back to Parkhead. Even on a temporary deal, it would be the kind of move that restores a lot of the positivity that has been lost in the last week.

Celtic are arguably stronger in the middle of the park than they are in any other position. But signing Armstrong would still be an outstanding piece of business, especially if Lennon can get the best out of him. He scored 17 goals in all competitions during his penultimate campaign with Celtic.

It could be a move that suits both Armstrong and Celtic if Southampton are willing to let him go on loan.
