Celtic Side To Face Rennes
Neil Lennon has named an unchanged starting XI from the weekend for Celtic’s Europa League game against Rennes tonight (Thursday).

Neil Lennon has named an unchanged starting XI from the weekend for Celtic’s Europa League game against Rennes tonight (Thursday).

Celtic will begin their Europa League Group Stage campaign against Rennes at the 29,000 capacity Roazhon Park in Rennes, France.

The Hoops manager has selected the same side that started in Saturday’s (September 14) league win away to Hamilton.

Mohamed Elyounoussi made his debut in the 1-0 victory and assisted for the goal which saw James Forrest score his seventh of the season.

Both of the Celtic wingers will start tonight with Odsonne Edouard fronting the forward line. The 21-year-old will be eager to impress on his homecoming and continue his impressive form which saw the Celtic striker recently score four goals in his first two games with the French Under-21 side.

Neil Lennon will look to the Celtic back four of Hatem Elhamed, Christopher Jullien, Kristopher Ajer and Boli Bolingoli to make it three consecutive clean-sheets in what he anticipates will be a stiff test for the Scottish champions.

Both sides come into tonight’s game on form with Celtic making their best league start in nine years after recording five wins from five in the Premiership.

Rennes has enjoyed a strong start to their season, beating PSG 2-1 last month, and currently sit second in Ligue 1.

CELTIC: Forster; Bolingoli, Jullien, Ajer, Elhamed; Brown, McGregor, Elyounoussi, Forrest, Christie; Edouard
Subs: Gordon, Bauer, Hayes, Morgan, Ntcham, Rogic, Bayo
